Offer Member Deals
SIIA members comprise the most influential group of decision-makers you can find in the software & information industry. Many product providers perceive a very powerful benefit to putting their products in the hands of this group. Because of this, SIIA developed the MemberDeals program, which allows all SIIA members to get their products (software, online content, publications, services, etc.) out to other SIIA members.
Guidelines
SIIA does not accept beta versions, crippled or trial products or products that simply promote a company. Rather it is looking for powerful product offers - free or at discounted prices that cover cost of goods and shipping. The price offer you make to SIIA members should be significantly lower than they could find anywhere else.
We hope you'll take advantage of SIIA's MemberDeals program, both by offering your products to other members and checking out the products other member companies are offering you as an SIIA member.
All offers are subject to SIIA's approval. Offers will be listed on SIIA's Web site and password protected so that only SIIA members will be made aware of them.
How to Participate
- Send a brief description (three-four sentences) to Eric Fredell, efredell@siia.net, of the product you're offering to other SIIA members.
- Include information on the current street price and whether you're supplying this product to members for free or at a drastically reduced price. Remember the idea is to get your product out to other members - a 25 percent discount probably isn't incentive enough for them to request/buy your product. If you must charge something, consider just covering your cost of goods and shipping.
- Set up a Web page on your own site with greater details about the product itself and how SIIA members can place their orders. Supply the URL to Eric Fredell for a link from SIIA's MemberDeals page. Or, if you would prefer, you can send us an e-mail link for the person SIIA members can contact for ordering information on your product.
Only SIIA members should be contacting you to take advantage of the offer. If you have any concerns about a particular company's standing, feel free to contact SIIA and we will verify whether the company is a member in good standing or not.
In some instances, SIIA may request a sample of your software, publication or other type of product to ensure its appropriate for the MemberDeals page.
