By partnering with Hospitality educators, Pearson has developed an innovative, intuitive and interactive experience that will enhance every aspect of their Intro to Hospitality course. Hospitality & Tourism Interactive features 16 properties on the island, including a fine-dining restaurant, casual dining establishment, full-service hotel, boutique hotel, tiki bar, casino, water park, ecotourism rainforest tour and much more. Hospitality Interactive includes an extensive Instructor Implementation Guide that provides teaching tips, summary of learning objectives and frequently asked questions, to ensure an outstanding experience for both instructors and students. Hospitality Interactive is set in the virtual world of Little Wolfe Island, which features icons/areas for exploration that represent the various sectors/components/categories of the hospitality industry, such as lodging and food service. Operation: Tectonic Fury Game Suite - The JASON Project, National Geographic Society Operation: Tectonic Fury is an inquiry-based, 5-9 week geology curriculum aligned to K-12 state, national and international standards and assessments. Developed in collaboration with National Geographic Society, U.S. Department of Energy, National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) and Smithsonian Institution, the unit places students in challenging, real-world situations where they are connected with, and mentored by, top scientists. These connections are delivered in in a highly engaging digital format (as well as print) that incorporates live events, interactive simulations and games, videos and social media. The game suite includes 11 interactives of varying complexity, enabling students at all levels to learn and apply scientific concepts in an entertaining, but educational, format.
