Doug Hauger

Doug Hauger

General Manager, Windows Azure, Microsoft

Doug Hauger is General Manager for Windows Azure. He is responsible for bringing to market Microsoft cloud services platform. Prior to taking on leadership for the Windows Azure business, Hauger was the Chief Operating Officer for Microsoft India. During his three years in India, Hauger was responsible for business planning and operations, marketing, advertising and public relations for the Microsoft India subsidiary.

Hauger has been with Microsoft since June of 1999 and has held a variety of roles responsible for driving business and technical strategy for the company’s enterprise business. Before Microsoft, Hauger was Chief Technology Officer for Excell Data Corporation, a subsidiary of Cambridge Technology Partners. In the early 1990s he established the first Internet Server Provider in Morocco and was instrumental in developing the Internet infrastructure in the country. Hauger has a bachelor’s degree from St. Olaf College in Minnesota and a master’s degree from Boston University.

Since 1996, Mr. Ryan has been instrumental in defining and creating services organizations that improve the quality and reliability of the technology infrastructures businesses depend on for communications and commerce. Prior to co-founding OpSource in 2002, Mr. Ryan was President of the Americas for Metromedia Fiber Network (MFN). He was responsible for integrating the sales and delivery organizations of the company's Internet businesses-hosting, IP networking, and managed services. Under his leadership, MFN customers included BP Amoco, JP Morgan Chase, Sony, Microsoft, and Mercedes-Benz. Mr. Ryan joined MFN from SiteSmith, a company that he co-founded in 1999 and ultimately sold to MFN the following year in a deal valued at $1.4 billion. Mr. Ryan has been a guest speaker at numerous industry events, including CIO, venture capital, Internet, hosting, and software conferences. He attended UCLA and is an advisor to the UCLA CLAS fund.

Tayloe Stansbury is senior vice president & chief technology officer of Intuit. He has more than 26 years of experience in the software industry, most recently as chief information officer of VMware, with responsibility for IT, facilities, and subsequently R&D shared services. Previously, Tayloe was executive vice president of Ariba, where he led engineering, product management, hosting, IT and customer support. Before that, Tayloe held executive engineering and general management roles at Calico Commerce and Xerox. Earlier, he worked on developer tools at Borland International and Sun MIcrosystems, and did research in computational linguistics at Xerox PARC. Tayloe was valedictorian of St Albans School in Washington, DC, and graduated with honors in math and computer science from Harvard University.

Maynard Webb

Maynard Webb is the Chairman and CEO of LiveOps and brings 30 years of experience leading and masterminding success in high-growth companies. Since joining LiveOps in 2006, Maynard has led the company to profitability, more than $100M in revenues, and double-digit revenue growth year over year.

Before joining LiveOps, Maynard served as the COO of eBay where he created and implemented organizational processes and day-to-day structures which enabled eBay to effectively grow from $140 million to over $4.5 billion in revenue in 2005, while the employee base grew from 250 to over 12,000. In the words of his former eBay CEO Meg Whitman, "Maynard played a critical role in eBay history - transforming the site to become a major commerce institution." Before joining eBay, Maynard was Senior Vice President and Chief Information Officer for Gateway, Inc and held leadership positions with IBM and Bay Networks among others. Maynard holds a bachelor's degree from Florida Atlantic University.

As a member of the board of directors for two other fast growing technology companies, salesforce.com and AdMob, Maynard's leadership extends far beyond LiveOps. He has also advised on the boards of Gartner, Hyperion, Skype, Niku and Extensity (two of which he helped take public.) Maynard has also held various advisory roles, including being a member of President George W. Bush's National Infrastructure Advisory Council, the Engineering Advisory Board at Santa Clara University.

One of Maynard's key leadership principles is to work for higher purposes in life - it is reflected in his stellar career as well as his contributions and dedication to improving communities and giving back to social causes. Maynard developed the LiveOps Foundation , to support activities that enhance and serve the communities in which LiveOps employees live and work, as well as the associated issues that impact quality of life. In just its first year of operation, LiveOps Foundation was named "Company of the Year" by Entrepreneur Foundation for the rich, well-rounded programs it included. In addition, he also created the Webb Family Foundation, which is dedicated to helping the underdogs in society meet their full potential.

Biri is currently Vice President, IBM Cloud Computing, where he helps lead IBM’s corporate wide strategy and solutions for cloud computing and internet scale out infrastructure.

IBM's Cloud organization is responsible for the overall strategy and development of solutions/platforms for cloud computing across IBM’s global software, systems, storage and services brands.

Biri brings 19 years global experience as a leader, executive, and serial entrepreneur in enterprise IT, new media advertising, Telco, e-commerce and retail industries to his current role at IBM. He has an extensive background in enterprise software, cloud computing/SaaS, middleware & data center infrastructure, and communications/networking.

Biri joined IBM through it’s acquisition of Encentuate, Inc. where he served as President & CEO. Encentuate was a leading vendor of identity and access management security software solutions and was acquired by IBM in March 2008.

Biri has previously served as CEO for IT companies that include Pivia (network acceleration appliance, acquired by F5 Networks, 2005), JRG (SaaS targeting CPG markets, acquired by CDC, 2006), Crossweave (software integration tools, acquired by Amberpoint, 2003), and Idapta (B2B start up, 2001).

Biri was COO & founding member of RelevantKnowledge Inc., an early pioneer in online advertising ratings and Internet audience measurement that had a successful IPO on NASDAQ as MediaMetrix. Today it is part of comScore, Inc.

Eileen Boerger is President of Agilis Solutions and its parent company, CorSource Technology Group. Most recently, Eileen was Executive Vice President and General Manager of Agilis Solutions and has been responsible for the delivery of our outsourced software development services and technical staffing services.

Eileen has extensive experience in the development and maintenance of software systems and applications. She also has managed the outsourcing of software development and maintenance projects to several countries, including Vietnam, India and New Zealand.

Prior to joining the company, Eileen was Vice President of Operations at QualityLogic, where she was responsible for delivering Quality Assurance services. She has also held a variety of management positions at Mentor Graphics Corporation and Unisys Corporation.

Eileen is currently a member of the Oregon Engineering and Technology Industry Council (ETIC), a public sector - private industry partnership focused on growing the capacity and excellence of Oregon's engineering and technology programs. She has served as a member of the Board of Directors of the Software Association of Oregon (SAO) and the Women in Technology International (WITI) Foundation. Eileen has been recognized by Open Computing magazine as one of the "Top 100 Women in Computing".

 

Jeff Brock

Jeff Brock is Operations Manager for the SaaS Platform Services (SPS) group of Autodesk. Jeff leads the team responsible for the delivery environments providing infrastructure, platform, and cloud services to support the production class SaaS products. The SPS role in Autodesk is to incubate new SaaS concepts and respond to the ever increasing on-demand challenges, as well as software plus services endeavors. While managing and supporting the mature customer facing revenue generating SaaS Products, they engage in the typical information security and compliance challenges.

During his 5 years with Autodesk Jeff has been instrumental in incorporating and managing the SPS environments to uphold the security and operational controls of the ISO 27001 standards, including SAS70 type II compliance. His team builds and maintains the global SaaS supporting data centers and infrastructure.

Brian Byun

Brian Byun leads the Cloud Services and Application Business Unit at VMware. He is responsible for the delivery of infrastructure, developer and application-level cloud services with the vCloud partner ecosystem. Since joining VMware in 2003, Brian has led multiple functions in the company including strategic global partnerships, product management, marketing, and most recently corporate development. Prior to VMware, Brian has held leadership roles in product management and engineering covering the gamut of internet consumer and security services, enterprise server, storage, middleware solutions at Rhapsody Networks, Brocade, AOL, Netscape and HP. Brian holds a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering and computer science from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.

Christopher Cabrera

President & Chief Executive Officer, Xactly Corporation

Christopher Cabrera is a seasoned executive with more than two decades of successful senior management experience at both early-stage and public companies. At these companies, he has managed sales, marketing, operations and business development.

Prior to founding Xactly Corporation, Mr. Cabrera was the senior vice president of operations for Callidus Software (NASDAQ: CALD), an on-premise incentive compensation management company. At Callidus, he was responsible for the execution of worldwide sales and marketing strategies, customer advocacy, and strategic alliances with companies such as IBM, Accenture and Deloitte. Under his leadership, the company acquired more than 100 customers, contributing to the growth of annual revenues from zero to greater than $75 million and a successful IPO in 2003 raising more than $70 million.

Before joining Callidus Software, Mr. Cabrera served as director of North American channel sales at Silicon Graphics (NYSE: SGI), a UNIX hardware and software vendor, where he was responsible for annual sales that topped $500 million.

Mr. Cabrera earned a bachelor of science degree in business administration with an emphasis in entrepreneurship from the University of Southern California (USC) and a master’s degree in business administration from Santa Clara University.

Paul Daugherty

Paul Daugherty is Accenture’s Chief Technology Architect, and also serves as Managing Director of Accenture’s Custom and Emerging Systems Integration (SI) business. In the Chief Technology Architect role, Paul is responsible for shaping Accenture’s architecture strategy and assets, and for managing over 3,000 technology architects who work around the globe and across industries implementing complex, leading-edge technology solutions for Accenture’s clients. His current focus areas include Service Oriented Architectures, Software as a Service, Web 2.0, Cloud Computing, Legacy Renewal, Open Source, and Mobility.

As Managing Director of the Custom and Emerging SI business, Paul has responsibility for Accenture’s Systems Integration business on custom platforms, industry and domain-specific software packages, and new/emerging technology platforms.

Prior to these roles, Paul led Accenture’s Technology business in the Resources operating group, which serves clients in the utilities, energy, natural resources, and chemicals sectors. Paul has also been instrumental in leading Accenture initiatives in areas such as eCommerce, and more recently, CIO Agenda, which is focused on rapidly growing the architecture and innovation areas of Accenture’s business.

Paul has a degree in Computer Engineering from the University of Michigan. He frequently speaks at conferences on industry and technology issues, and has published articles in a variety of publications. He is Chairman of the Advisory Board of the New York-based Academy of Information Technology, a non-profit organization that works with high schools to increase IT career opportunities for urban youths. Paul is based in New York City, and lives in New Jersey with his wife and four children.

Jeff Deacon is currently a managing director of cloud services for Verizon. In this capacity, he is instrumental is shaping Verizon’s strategy related to virtualization and cloud computing, and is playing a key role in the development of new on-demand IT services.

Previously, Deacon served as manager of IT solutions product marketing for Verizon Business with responsibility for the company’s software-as-a-service and cloud computing services.

With over 15 years of managed hosting industry experience, Deacon has broad expertise helping enterprise customers develop and implement effective data strategies. Over the span of his career, he has held positions in engineering, consulting, and product marketing. Prior to joining Verizon in 2007, Deacon held positions with Opsware, Savvis, LoudCloud and Digex. He began his career in the financial services industry.

Deacon regularly presents at cloud computing conferences, venture capital events and vendor seminars. He also actively consults with senior-level executives across a wide range of industries, including retail, finance, health care and software development, offering guidance and best practices on how to implement highly available IT architectures that scale up and down as demand for network and computing resources change over time.

He holds a bachelor’s degree in finance from the University of Maryland and a master’s degree in information systems from Loyola University of Maryland.

Feyzi has over twenty five years of experience building high-performance high-tech businesses including multiple business units at HP and four software start-ups in Silicon Valley and in Southern California. Two of these start-ups were named among the annual Red Herring 100, with valuations from $100 Million to $1 Billion. Most recently, Corent won the 2009 Emerging Software Company of the Year award.

Feyzi has been a keynote speaker around the globe from Sidney to Singapore, and from Washington DC to London and Rome. He has also spoken at events by Harvard, Wharton, Stanford, Pepperdine, MIT, Cal Tech, and UCLA Anderson School of Management.

Feyzi is an inventor and patent holder for the design of the first real-time database. He earned a bachelor’s degree in Solar Engineering, a master’s degree in Software Architecture and an MBA in International Management. He received his director and corporate governance certificate from UCLA and is a graduate of Anderson School of Management’s prestigious M&A program.

Feyzi was elected to the board of the Technology Council of Southern California in 2007 and the Chairman of its Orange County chapter in 2008. In 2009, IBM named Feyzi to their exclusive IBM Partner Advisory Council.

Dan has spent his career launching and growing Internet businesses with a focus on the recruitment market. Previously, Dan served as Senior Vice President of Yahoo! and General Manager of Yahoo! HotJobs, doubling revenue between 2002 and 2007. At Yahoo, Dan established Yahoo and HotJobs’ partnership with a consortium of over 700 newspapers, today representing 41 percent of total Sunday circulation in the U.S.

Prior to Yahoo!, he led the creation of Knight Ridder Digital, the Internet company of the world’s second largest newspaper publisher, serving as President and CEO. For Knight Ridder, Dan led its joint acquisition of CareerBuilder with Tribune, serving on CareerBuilder’s Board for three years. Prior, to joining Knight Ridder, Dan helped launch, and eventually led as CEO, Smartpages.com (now Yellowpages.com) for SBC/ATT. Dan holds an M.B.A. from The Wharton School and a B.A. in Communication Studies from the University of California, Los Angeles.

Greg Gianforte is founder and CEO of RightNow Technologies, Inc., a provider of on-demand customer experience solutions that help citizen-centric organizations deliver great customer experiences. RightNow was recently purchased by Oracle Corporation.

Prior to RightNow Technologies, Gianforte founded Brightwork, a network management application company, in 1986. Under his leadership, the company successfully installed its software on more than 150,000 Novell systems before McAfee Associates acquired the firm in 1994. Gianforte is a seasoned entrepreneur and currently serves as founder and chair of Bootstrap Montana, a program that provides coaching and micro-loans to promising entrepreneurs in Gianforte’s home state of Montana.

Gianforte has presented at prominent cloud and customer relationship management (CRM) conferences for business leaders, including AFCEA’s All About the Cloud Conference, CRM Evolution and the Business Cloud Summit. A passionate and dynamic speaker, he has spoken for numerous academic institutions, including Harvard Business School, the University of California, Berkeley, Stanford University, Cornell University, the London School of Business, the Manchester School of Business and the Warwick School of Business. In 2007, he delivered the commencement speech to Montana State University’s graduating class.

Honored with an array of distinctions as a technology industry leader, he is a CRM Hall of Fame inductee and he was presented an Honorary Doctorate of Computer Science at Montana State University in 2007. He was named Entrepreneur of the Year in the Pacific Northwest software category by Ernst & Young in 2003 and he received the Stevens Honor award from Stevens Institute of Technology the same year.

Jason Green is a founder of Emergence Capital and has over a dozen years of experience in the venture capital business as a General Partner with Emergence, a General Partner with USVP and as an associate and Kauffman Fellow with Venrock, the venture capital arm of the Rockefeller family. Earlier in his career, Jason served as VP of Muzertechnika, the largest private computer and Telecommunications Company in Eastern Europe. Prior to this, he served as a strategic consultant with Bain & Company and with the investment firm of Welsh, Carson, Anderson, and Stowe. Jason has led successful early-stage venture investments in past companies such as DoubleClick (DCLK), aQuantive (AQNT), Visual Networks (VNWK), SuccessFactors (SFSF) and Ask Jeeves (ASK) and currently serves on the boards of private companies such as Lotame, TouchCommerce, Yammer, Goodmail Systems, ServiceMax, Inc. and ResponseLogix.

Jason is Chairman Emeritus and on the Board of the Center for Venture Education and the Kauffman Fellows Program, the leading educational fellowship in venture capital. Jason serves as Chairman of the West Coast Research Center for Harvard Business School and is on the Global Advisory Board. He is also a Founding Board member of Endeavor, a non-profit serving the needs of entrepreneurs in emerging markets.

Jason graduated cum laude with a B.A. in Economics from Dartmouth College and an M.B.A. from Harvard with Distinction. Patrick Harding is the Chief Technology Officer of Ping Identity, responsible for Ping Identity Labs, emerging technologies, architecture and standards, and developing the technology strategy for the company. Previously, Harding was a VP and the Security Architect (Enterprise Architect Division) at Fidelity Investments where he was responsible for aligning identity management and security technologies with the strategic goals of the business. Harding was integrally involved with the implementation of federated identity technologies at Fidelity – from "napkin" to production.

Harding has over 15 years experience in software development, networking infrastructure and information security. His industry experience includes financial services, travel services and consulting. Harding has a Bachelor of Science Degree in Computer Science from the University of New South Wales in Sydney, Australia.

 

William Harmer

Trina Horner is the US SaaS/Cloud Channel Development Strategist for Microsoft US Software plus Services Business. She is responsible for strategy; business plan and programs to help enable companies to sell their services on the web in a hosted model. Trina has held many international and US sales, alliance and business development positions in her over 30 years in the technology at top global companies. In her over 10 years at Microsoft, she has formerly managed the Microsoft partnerships with BearingPoint, CSC and Getronics; and the outsourcing partnerships with Hewlett-Packard, Unisys and IBM. Trina has received a national award for top Women in Technology and she is active in programs in her community mentoring high school and college students for careers in technology and sciences.

 

Gary Hromadko

Gary Hromadko joined Crosslink Capital in 2002 to focus on investments in the Communication Services & Infrastructure sector. His current investments and board seats include Equinix (NASDAQ: EQIX); SeaMicro, a developer of high performance, low power servers for the web tier in data centers; Tabula, a developer of high performance FPGA devices; Carbonite, a provider of Internet-based backup and restore services; and OpSource.

His previous investments in software and communications infrastructure companies include: Yipes, a metro Ethernet services provider, acquired by Reliance Communications; Stratalight, a developer of 10G and 100G optical transceiver subsystems, acquired by OpNext (NASDAQ: OPXT); Good Technology, a mobile messaging and applications provider acquired by Motorola; VitalStream, a CDN services provider acquired by Internap; Packeteer, a developer of bandwidth shaping communications equipment, acquired by BlueCoat Systems; Netcode, a developer of Java programming libraries, acquired by Netscape; and Medior, a developer of interactive content acquired by America Online.

Prior to Crosslink, Hromadko managed his own investment practice from 1992-2002; was a partner with Merrill, Pickard, Anderson & Eyre, a venture capital firm focused on early stage technology companies, from 1989-1992; and was a partner at Robertson, Stephens & Co., focused on equity research in the software sector, from 1983-1988. He began his investment career in public market investing in 1979 at Dodge & Cox.

He holds the BA, English, from Carleton College and both an MA, English Literature and an MBA from the University of Virginia.

David’s experience in developing strategic sales and technology partnerships with leading software and hardware vendors and providing successful product solutions for strategic accounts gives him a rich understanding of the integration market and its customers.

With more than 20 years sales and marketing experience as a consultant and senior executive in the software industry in the U.S. and Europe, Inbar has extensive expertise in DBMS and Application Development and Process Management. Before coming to Pervasive Software, he was VP of Sales and Business Development for Data Junction and prior to that, VP of Marketing and Business Development at Revelation Technologies, Inc. He has also held senior marketing positions at Interco Marketing, Inc., Helix Expert Systems, Ltd. and Ashton-Tate Inc. (later Borland).

Inbar holds a Master’s in Electronic Engineering from Cambridge University and a Master’s of Business Administration from the London Graduate School of Business Studies.

Joe Weinman leads global portfolio strategy and business development for AT&T Business Solutions. AT&T is the world's largest telecommunications and information technology firm (YE2008), with US$124 Billion in annual revenue. A 29-year veteran of the company, a prolific inventor and author, and frequent global keynote speaker, he has held a variety of executive positions of increasing responsibility spanning research and development at AT&T Bell Laboratories, marketing, sales, product management, engineering and operations, and corporate strategy and business development.

His current focus is on the overall product portfolio, business strategy, partner ecosystem, and emerging technologies to support AT&T's business customers, which range from small offices to large global enterprises, wholesale customers, systems integrators, and local, state, and federal government.

He has a Bachelor of Science and Master of Science in Computer Science from Cornell University and the University of Wisconsin - Madison respectively, and has completed Executive Education at the International Institute for Management Development in Lausanne, Switzerland.
